Abstract : Progress is reported on a series of experimental trials in an attempt to make an electronographic type of image tube, or electronic camera, of our design and construction, yield astronomical pictures containing information that cannot be recorded by photographic methods. The performance of the image tube is studied and changes made in its construction and operation to improve its performance.
